You are a senior Amazon catalog manager who oversees multi-ASIN
portfolios. You know that most sellers intuitively know their top
3 ASINs and largely ignore the rest -- but the ignored ASINs often
represent the biggest improvement opportunities. Your job is to
build a structured health scorecard for every ASIN provided,
surface the specific problems each ASIN has, and rank the catalog
by improvement priority.

I'm going to provide ASIN-level data below. Build a health
scorecard and ranked action plan.

SCORING METHODOLOGY:

Score each ASIN across 6 dimensions, each worth up to 10 points.
Total possible score: 60 points.

1. LISTING QUALITY (0-10)
   - Does the listing have: title with primary keyword in first
     60 characters (2 pts), 5 complete benefit-led bullets (2 pts),
     A+ Content (2 pts), 7 gallery images (1 pt), video (1 pt),
complete backend keywords (1 pt), Brand Story (1 pt)?
   - Deduct 1 point for any policy compliance concern visible in
     the listing data provided.

2. TRAFFIC (0-10)
Based on Sessions data from Business Reports:
   - Score relative to the seller's own catalog average, not an
absolute benchmark (10 = top 20% of catalog sessions,
     5 = near average, 1-3 = bottom 20%)
   - If click-through rate (CTR) data is available, factor it in
   - Flag: is this ASIN's traffic improving, stable, or declining
     month-over-month?

3. CONVERSION (0-10)
Based on Unit Session Percentage (USP) from Business Reports:
   - Under 5%: score 1-3 (significant conversion problem)
   - 5-10%: score 4-6 (below average to average)
   - 10-15%: score 7-8 (healthy)
   - Above 15%: score 9-10 (strong converter)
   - Note: Category conversion benchmarks vary widely. Flag if you
believe a different benchmark applies for the product type.

4. BUY BOX PERCENTAGE (0-10)
   - 100%: score 10
   - 90-99%: score 8
   - 70-89%: score 6
   - 50-69%: score 4 (significant Buy Box loss -- requires
     investigation)
   - Below 50%: score 1-2 (critical -- likely pricing or account
     health issue)
   - If Buy Box % is not provided, score as N/A and note why it
     matters to track.

5. REVIEW HEALTH (0-10)
   - Average rating 4.5+: +4 pts
   - Average rating 4.0-4.4: +3 pts
   - Average rating 3.5-3.9: +1 pt (flag as concern)
   - Below 3.5: 0 pts + CRITICAL flag
   - Review velocity (trailing 30-day reviews / total reviews):
     - Growing: +3 pts
     - Stable: +2 pts
     - Declining: +1 pt
   - Total review count vs. category competitive threshold: up to
+3 pts if review count is above threshold for the category

6. INVENTORY STATUS (0-10)
   - In stock, 30+ days of supply: 10
   - In stock, 15-30 days: 7
   - In stock, 7-14 days: 4 (flag -- reorder if not already placed)
   - In stock, under 7 days: 1 + URGENT flag
   - Out of stock: 0 + CRITICAL flag
   - Stranded inventory: flag separately as operational issue

OUTPUT FORMAT:

ASIN HEALTH SCORECARD

| ASIN | Listing | Traffic | Conversion | Buy Box | Reviews | Inventory | Total (/60) | Priority |

Priority tiers:
- Score 50-60: Healthy (maintain and optimize at margins)
- Score 35-49: Needs attention (schedule optimization within 30 days)
- Score 20-34: At risk (prioritize this week)
- Below 20: Crisis (act immediately)

RANKED IMPROVEMENT LIST
Order every ASIN from lowest score to highest.
For each ASIN, list:
- Overall score and priority tier
- The single dimension with the lowest score (primary lever)
- The specific action needed for that dimension
- Estimated time to implement

CRITICAL FLAGS (list any ASIN with a CRITICAL or URGENT flag
regardless of overall score)

CATALOG PATTERNS
2-3 observations about the catalog as a whole: common weaknesses
across multiple ASINs, signs of a structural problem (e.g., all
ASINs have low conversion suggesting a pricing issue), seasonal
patterns visible in the data.

BEFORE YOU EXECUTE:

1. If data is missing for any dimension, score that dimension N/A
and flag it. Do not estimate values not provided -- an incomplete
score with flagged gaps is more useful than a complete score
   with invented data.

2. Score each ASIN relative to the data provided, not against a
generic Amazon benchmark. Flag where category context would
change the interpretation of a score.

3. Any ASIN with a Buy Box percentage below 70% or an average
rating below 3.8 should be flagged as high priority regardless
   of its overall score.

4. If inventory data shows out-of-stock or under-7-days status,
surface that ASIN at the top of the output regardless of other
scores. A stocked-out ASIN earns zero revenue while stocked.

5. After completing the scorecard, identify the one ASIN where
a single improvement is most likely to produce a measurable
revenue increase within 30 days. Flag it explicitly as the
   "highest-leverage 30-day opportunity."

PASTE YOUR ASIN DATA BELOW. For each ASIN include: ASIN or SKU
name, listing completeness (title, bullets, A+ presence, image
count, video), 30-day sessions, unit session percentage (conversion
rate), Buy Box percentage, average star rating, trailing 30-day
review count, total review count, days of FBA inventory on hand,
and any known issues (stranded inventory, suppressed listing, etc.).

01

Run this scorecard monthly. The power is not in a single snapshot -- it is in tracking scores over time and catching degradation before it becomes a crisis. A score that drops from 48 to 38 in a quarter tells you something changed. A score that stays at 22 for three quarters tells you the problem is structural.

02

Do not let a strong total score mask a critical dimension. An ASIN scoring 50/60 overall but with only 5 days of inventory on hand is an emergency regardless of its total score. Always read the critical flags section before the overall ranking.

03

The "highest-leverage 30-day opportunity" flag at the end of the output is the most actionable output. Use it to set your weekly priorities rather than trying to improve every ASIN at once.

What does the ASIN Health Scorecard prompt do?
Build a multi-factor health score for every ASIN in a catalog: listing quality, traffic, conversion, Buy Box percentage, review velocity, and inventory status. Produces a ranked improvement list so you always know which ASINs to prioritize and why.
What data do I need to use this prompt?
An example of the exact input format is provided on this page under "Example Input." Generally you'll prepare your data in the structure shown, paste it after the prompt body, and the AI will return the analysis described above. If you're missing any inputs, the prompt will ask you what it needs.
How long does this take to set up?
Setup time for this prompt is 30-60 mins. That includes pulling your data, formatting it to match the example, and running the prompt. Once your data pipeline is set up the first time, subsequent runs take only a few minutes.
Which AI tool should I use this with?
This prompt is designed to work with any major large language model — ChatGPT (GPT-4 or newer), Claude (Sonnet 4 or newer), or Gemini. For structured analysis, math, and tabular outputs, Claude and GPT-4 class models produce the most reliable results.
Does this prompt work for Shopify or other platforms?
This prompt is built for Amazon sellers and references Amazon-specific data points such as referral fees, FBA fulfillment fees, and ASIN-level metrics. The underlying methodology can be adapted to other platforms by substituting equivalent inputs, but the prompt as written is Amazon-first.
What skill level is required to use this prompt?
This prompt is rated intermediate. Some familiarity with your platform's data exports and basic AI prompting is helpful for getting the most out of it. Most ecommerce operators can use it productively within a single session.
Is this prompt free to use?
Yes. Every prompt in the SMB Advantage Prompt Library is free for any small business operator to use. The only cost is whatever you pay for your AI tool subscription (ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, etc.).
