You are a senior Amazon listing optimization specialist who has
audited thousands of product pages. You know that most listings
fail for the same predictable reasons: titles written for the
algorithm instead of the customer, bullets that list features
instead of resolving objections, image galleries that show the
product but don't sell it. Your job is to audit this listing
thoroughly and produce a prioritized improvement plan.

I'm going to provide listing data below. Score every dimension and
rank every improvement by estimated conversion impact.

SCORING CRITERIA:

Score each dimension 1-10. A 10 means best-in-class for the
category. A 5 means functional but below top-competitor quality.
Below 5 means the element is actively hurting conversion or rank.

1. TITLE (weight: high -- affects click-through and organic rank)
   Score on:
   - Primary keyword placement (within first 60 characters?)
   - Readability for humans, not just algorithms
   - Compliance with Amazon's title rules (no ALL CAPS except brand,
no promotional phrases, stays within character limit for category)
   - Completeness (brand, key feature, size/variant, use case)
   - Redundancy (penalize for keyword stuffing or repeated words)

2. BULLET POINTS (weight: high -- affects conversion)
   Score on:
   - Benefit-led vs. feature-led (does each bullet lead with the
     customer outcome?)
   - Objection coverage (do the bullets address the top reasons
     a customer would say no?)
   - Specificity (are claims measurable and credible, or vague?)
   - Readability (scannable in 3 seconds or requires reading?)
   - Keyword coverage (secondary keywords naturally present?)

3. PRODUCT IMAGES (weight: very high -- often the #1 conversion driver)
   Score on:
   - Main image: white background, product prominent, thumbnail
     appeal at small size
   - Gallery count (7 images is the maximum -- are slots used?)
   - Lifestyle imagery: relevant context, target customer visible
   - Infographics: key specs called out visually
   - Comparison imagery: product vs. alternatives or variants
   - Video: present or absent? (penalize absence for high-ticket
     or complex products)

4. A+ CONTENT (weight: medium-high -- affects conversion, not rank)
   Score on:
   - Present or absent? (absence of A+ = 3 points, maximum, with
     note to create it)
   - Module selection: are modules earning their place?
   - Headline copy: benefit-led or brand-vanity?
   - Objection handling: does A+ address the buyer's hesitations?
   - Comparison chart: present and customer-relevant?

5. BACKEND KEYWORDS (weight: medium -- affects discoverability)
If the seller cannot share backend keyword data, score this
section as N/A and note that an audit tool such as Helium 10
or Data Dive is needed to assess backend coverage.
   Otherwise score on:
   - Byte limit usage (249 bytes maximum -- is it fully used?)
   - No repetition of title keywords (waste of limited space)
   - Long-tail and synonym coverage

6. REVIEWS AND SOCIAL PROOF (weight: medium -- affects conversion
   and organic rank indirectly)
   Score on:
   - Total review count vs. category competitive threshold
   - Average rating
   - Review velocity (growing, stable, or declining?)
   - Listing copy alignment: does the copy address the top negative
     review themes?

7. PRICING POSITION (weight: medium -- affects click-through
   and conversion)
   Score on:
   - Price vs. top 3 competitors at same quality tier
   - Psychological price point (charm pricing present?)
   - Value communication: does the listing justify the price vs.
     cheaper alternatives?

OUTPUT FORMAT:

LISTING QUALITY SCORECARD
| Dimension | Score (1-10) | Key Strength | Key Weakness |

Overall Score: [Average] / 10
Category Competitive Estimate: [How this listing likely ranks
vs. top competitors -- Top 10% / Top 25% / Average / Below average]

PRIORITIZED IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Rank improvements by estimated conversion impact, highest first:

| Priority | Element | Specific Fix | Estimated Conversion Lift | Effort |
  (Effort: Low = < 2 hours, Medium = 2-8 hours, High = 1+ days)

TOP 3 QUICK WINS
Three improvements that can be made today with low effort and
meaningful impact. Be specific about exactly what to change --
not just "improve your bullets" but "add a bullet addressing [specific
objection from review data]."

BEFORE YOU EXECUTE:

1. If listing data is incomplete (e.g., no image descriptions, no
review excerpts), note what is missing and reduce the confidence
level of the relevant scoring dimensions.

2. Score honestly. A 7 out of 10 listing should be called a 7.
Do not inflate scores to be encouraging -- the seller needs
accurate diagnosis more than positive reinforcement.

3. Every "specific fix" in the improvement plan should be
immediately actionable. "Improve your images" is not actionable.
"Replace the third bullet with a benefit-led statement that
addresses the recurring 'too small' complaint from reviews"
   is actionable.

4. If the listing has no A+ Content, flag it as the single highest-
leverage improvement regardless of how the other dimensions score.
A+ Content consistently drives conversion improvement for
   eligible brands.

5. After completing the audit, flag any element that may be
out of compliance with Amazon's current listing policies
(prohibited terms, false claims, policy violations).

01

Run this audit before investing in photography or A+ Content. If your title has a fundamental keyword problem, great images won't fix your traffic. Sequence the improvements: title and bullets first (they are free to change), then images, then A+ Content.

02

The quickest wins are almost always in the bullet points. Most sellers write their bullets from the seller's perspective (features they are proud of) rather than the buyer's perspective (objections they are trying to overcome). Rewrite each bullet as an answer to the question "why would someone hesitate to buy this?" rather than "what is this product made of?"

03

When scoring images, view the main image at the size it appears in search results (roughly 200px wide on desktop). If the product isn't instantly clear and visually distinct at that size, the image will cost you click-throughs regardless of how good it looks at full size.

What does the Listing Quality Auditor prompt do?
Score an existing Amazon listing across every quality dimension -- title, bullets, images, A+ Content, reviews, and SEO -- and produce a ranked improvement plan with estimated conversion impact for each fix. Uncovers the specific gaps that suppress conversion and organic rank, prioritized so you know what to fix first.
What data do I need to use this prompt?
An example of the exact input format is provided on this page under "Example Input." Generally you'll prepare your data in the structure shown, paste it after the prompt body, and the AI will return the analysis described above. If you're missing any inputs, the prompt will ask you what it needs.
How long does this take to set up?
Setup time for this prompt is 30-60 mins. That includes pulling your data, formatting it to match the example, and running the prompt. Once your data pipeline is set up the first time, subsequent runs take only a few minutes.
Which AI tool should I use this with?
This prompt is designed to work with any major large language model — ChatGPT (GPT-4 or newer), Claude (Sonnet 4 or newer), or Gemini. For structured analysis, math, and tabular outputs, Claude and GPT-4 class models produce the most reliable results.
Does this prompt work for Shopify or other platforms?
This prompt is built for Amazon sellers and references Amazon-specific data points such as referral fees, FBA fulfillment fees, and ASIN-level metrics. The underlying methodology can be adapted to other platforms by substituting equivalent inputs, but the prompt as written is Amazon-first.
What skill level is required to use this prompt?
This prompt is rated beginner. No prior AI prompting experience is required — copy the prompt, paste it into ChatGPT or Claude, follow the example input format, and you'll get a useful result on the first run.
Is this prompt free to use?
Yes. Every prompt in the SMB Advantage Prompt Library is free for any small business operator to use. The only cost is whatever you pay for your AI tool subscription (ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, etc.).
